2021 Generational Change Impact Report

The 2021 Generational Change Impact Report lists key achievements across government from the last four years. Here are some of them:

The Generational Change Reform Program is a single reform approach which encompasses three significant and inter-related reform programs:

  • Safe, Thriving and Connected: Generational Change for Children and Families (2018-2023) – the formal response to the Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory
  • Starting Early for a Better Future, Early Childhood Development in the Northern Territory (2018-2028)
  • Responses to the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse (2017)

The 2021 Generational Change Impact Report outlines the achievements, successful collaborations, ongoing challenges and outcomes of the reform program. It marks the culmination of almost four years delivering programs and initiatives aimed at keeping Territory families Safe, Thriving and Connected.

Addressing the Royal Commission recommendations has provided necessary operational and administrative changes to systems, policies, processes and procedures. While embedding these changes the Northern Territory Government, with the Commonwealth and peak organisations, will be building on the shared vision and policy framework of the 10 Year Generational Strategy for Children and Families.

The Strategy will provide a pathway to generational change through collective goals, agendas and actions.
