About

The Reform Management Office (RMO) was established in 2017 in response to the Royal Commission and Board of Inquiry into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory. The RMO was established to provide a whole-of-government mechanism to coordinate and monitor progress on the implementation of reforms for children and families.

The RMO is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the Generational Change Reform agenda which encompasses three significant and interrelated reform agendas:

Progress of the Generational Change Reform Agenda is publicly reported each year. The reports are available below:

The RMO is also responsible for the establishment of new Child and Family Centres across the Northern Territory. The Child and Family Centres provide tailored and coordinated services to vulnerable families and assist and support ongoing evaluation of relevant programs. The RMO works with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to establish and manage the centres on behalf of the communities they are situated in.
